Another free knitting pattern for wrist warmers.

Hello everyone,

November already and we still have lovely sunshine, we are in for a weather change through the coming week but that was going to happen anyway for this time of year. We have been lucky in the North of England now it is time for the scarfs, gloves and wrist warmers. Yes I have finished another pair and I will share the pattern with you.

Here is the pic,

FREE KNITTING PATTERN for Wrist Warmers.
copyright 2014 by Julie Cartwright.
Materials:- 4mm needles.

DK yarn about 65g( depending on the length you require).

Stitch pattern:-  Rib, K1, P1. and for main pattern as follows:-
Little Arrows 4 row pattern.
1 Row RS k2, p2, k1, p2, *k3, p2, k1, p2; rep from* to last 2sts, k2.
2 Row P3, k1, p1, k1, *p5, k1, p1, k1; rep from* to last 3sts, p3.
3 Row k1, *P1, k5, p1, k1; rep from * to end.
4 Row P1, *k2, p3, k2, p1; rep from* to end.
Rep these 4 rows which form the main body of wrist warmers.

To Make.
Right and left hand both alike.
Using 4mm needles cast on 50sts, work in rib, k1, p1, for 2rows.
Next row begin with main stitch pattern as above starting with row 1, RS to row 4. Then repeat a further 17 times till work measures 21cm from beg, ending on row 4 of pattern. Or knit the length longer if you wish.
Next row work in rib pattern k1, p1, for 7 rows then cast off. The finished length for mine was about 24cm.

To finish.
Bring sides together and sew the length of side edges, from cast on edge to cast off edge.

Hope you like this, why don't you give them a try and let me know how you get on.
I love the texture of this pattern it could be used in lots of ways to make other items.

I also started a new crochet project last night using SIRDAR  Crofter DK yarn, this self patterning yarn is working nicely for me.

I am mixing 2 balls of this wool in different shades. Check out more details on this wool at - SIRDAR

Not decided if I will make a cowl or a long scarf but I will share with you when finished.
That's all I have to show you at the moment so till next time.

bye for now
Julie. x

That is another nice pattern Julie, must add it tom list of things to make, I'm just finishing up the second fingerless mitt in another pattern. I actually needed to wear mitts this morning as it was so chilly heading off to the swimming pool to watch the grandkids.

Thanks Linda, I am back at work now so my wrist warmers were needed to. My grand daughter also loves swimming.
