Hello everyone, how are you all?
I t is a cold and wet day here in the north of the UK but the sun is out.
Wearing my big winter coat with a bulky scarf is not for me what I wanted was an easy light weight scarf that would fit nicely around my neck without the bulk.
I found two knitting patterns both using a DK weight yarn and easy to make, here is the first one I finished and a second one ready to start
The pattern is called The Sea Breeze Shawl by Stitches & Cream the Cornish knitter
I used 4ply yarn hand dyed merino, but I have had this yarn for so long I don't know who the dyer was sorry about that it was lovely yarn to knit with and the pattern was easy to follow. Certainly be knitting from this again.
The next one I have started knitting is a scarf knitted flat using 4.5mm needles and DK yarn
The design is called Cold Snap by Angelina Webb of KnitRelief Designs I purchased the pattern from Lovecrafts website.
Next I purchased this book Knitted animal cozies by Fiona Goble
Lovely book with 35 patterns to knit.
I want to make these cup hugs just for fun or gifts, there are also designs for tablet covers and hot water bottle covers which will be ideal with this cold weather.
Well I think that's plenty of projects to keep me busy in the coming day's 😅
I also have another hobby that I have started you can find more details on my Instagram page, and I promise to show more here on the blog next time.
So till then enjoy your week.
Julie x
